Our novice quartet, Electric Avenue, won a Master-Apprentice grant from the Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC), and have been working hard with Sweet Adelines Queens of Harmony, the fabulous and local, Lustre Quartet!
Here's is a link to the Video/Photo Essay from their December 7, 2019 meeting and interview. This was one of the requirements for their MSAC Master-Apprentice Grant. They met the MSAC representative (Program Director, Grants for Organizations, Folk and Traditional Arts) and the photographer at the Ratner Art Museum in Bethesda, MD on a Friday night where they were interviewed.
Both quartets sang a few songs, Lustre taught the photographer a tag, and all eight of stood together and sang "How We Sang Today." You will hear snippets of songs in the presentation. What fun!
